I’m an independent musician with a wealth of experience and knowledge. From weeks on end living in a transit van to sleeping on the swankiest tour buses, I’ve seen it all. Dreams came true as I recorded with multi-selling producers, played shows with my heroes, and toured the world.

Here’s the kicker… I achieved this as an independent artist.

Did I achieve my goals? In many respects, yes. But I always wanted more. I was unhealthy in my obsession. If I played in an arena, I wanted the stadium. But, even with representatives such as managers and agents, I found myself at many crossroads. I want to trace my steps and look at the decisions I made.

As I trace my steps, I’ll strive to offer actionable advice for you and many more independent musicians looking to navigate an ever-difficult industry. I want to empower independent artists with practical advice. Inspire them with success stories. Why…? I understand the emotional toll the music industry takes. I now how hurtful the “get a proper job” remarks can be. Plus, I don’t want my experience to go to waste. If Independent Artist Advice can help just one musician, then my job is done.

So somewhat of a disclaimer: I may not turn you into a star, but I’ll give you the tools to improve your chances. It’s like the wild west out there, and often the stars don’t align. As a famous band once sang…”You can’t always get what you want!”
