Blige-esque beat joins a choppy jazz-funk guitar line straight out of the Nile Rodgers playbook.
Over this sits Venae’s vocals. There’s a warmth and intimacy to her delivery as she channels Whitney influences. When the pre-chorus grips and the chorus soars, it becomes clear that this song could easily sit within Celine Dion’s catalogue.
